*We reserve the right to deny a client a micro-channeling treatment if it is our professional opinion that you are contraindicated and are not a suitable candidate for this procedure. Our skin care therapist, after a skin analysis, will recommend an alternative skin treatment that is more suitable for your skin type and skin condition.
The Risks
Although the majority of clients do not experience any complications with micro-channeling, it is important you understand that risks do exist. The micro-channeling procedure is minimally invasive, but because micro-channeling may penetrate the skin, it inherently carries health risks, including but not limited to those listed below. You should discuss any and all health concerns with your skincare therapist PRIOR to treatment.
PAIN - There may be a slight discomfort, burning, scratchy, or irritated sensation to the skin. This is usually temporary and is gone within a few hours after treatment. If there is a sudden reappearance of redness and pain, it may be a sign of infection or allergic reaction and you should contact your physician immediately.
PERSISTENT REDNESS, ITCHING, AND/OR SWELLING - Itching, redness, and swelling are normal parts of the healing process. These symptoms rarely persists longer than 24 hours.
PEELING - Some people may experience extra dead skin shedding for a few days after procedure. Do NOT pick or peel skin. If this happens, just buff dead skin with a gentle exfoliant.
ALLERGIC REACTION - Since micro-channeling is performed with sterile hypodermic needles, an allergic reaction is unlikely; However, an allergy can occur with ingredients from products used on the face in conjunction with the micro-channeling procedure or post-procedure. Micro-channeling increases the penetration of topical substances, so it can cause you to be hypersensitive to topical ingredients. If an allergic reaction were to occur, you should contact your physician immediately.
INFECTION - Infection is very unusual. However, viral, bacterial, and fungal infections can occur anytime the integrity of the skin is compromised. Should infection occur, you should contact your physician immediately.
PIGMENTATION -Because dermal penetration is so superficial it doesn’t extend into the layer of the skin containing melanocytes, hyperpigmentation is very rare with micro-channeling; However, failure to follow post-treatment instructions can put you at risk for hyperpigmentation. You MUST avoid sun exposure for 2 weeks after treatment. You should also wear a daily SPF facial moisturizer, which your skincare therapist can recommend. Lastly, avoid picking and/or peeling the skin during healing period.
SCARRING - Although normal healing after the procedure is expected, in very rare cases (such as if you are prone to keloid scarring), thickened or keloid scars may result.
RESULTS - Micro-channeling may not completely or permanently perfect your skin texture, tone, elasticity, scars, wrinkles, or hyperpigmentation. It is important that your expectations be realistic and that you understand the procedure has its limitations. Additional procedures may be necessary to achieve desired effect. No promises or guarantees are made.

How does ProCell Micro-Channeling work?
Our micro-channeling device creates microscopic perforations in the outermost layer of the skin which initiate a natural healing response. These perforations also function as micro-channels to deliver the ProCell Serum into the skin. The ProCell Serum is specifically formulated to trigger the collagen-producing cells in your body to go into overdrive and create permanent new healthy skin! Micro-channeling can be used as a single form of therapy or it can be combined with other treatments to further enhance the effectiveness. Diamond Microdermabrasion or chemical peels are perfect companion treatments to receive in-between micro-channeling sessions.
This procedure is performed by a professional skincare therapist certified and trained by ProCell Therapies. The treatment session usually takes about one hour. ProCell Therapies provides the most effective micro-channeling treatment on the market today. The micro-channeling procedure is performed in a safe and precise manner using a micro-channeling device with a single-use hygienic needle head. Its unique design creates thousands of clean, evenly distributed micro-perforations. This then stimulates keratinocytes to message fibroblasts to enhance your skin’s own natural collagen production. The micro-channels allow for deeper product penetration, increasing the effectiveness of the topically applied ProCell Serum. ProCell Therapies uses a potent growth factor serum that is derived from human bone marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSC). ProCell Serum is quite effective on its own, but when combined with micro-channeling, it accelerates healing, yielding even more dramatic results. After the procedure, the skin may appear red, with mild swelling, and your skin might feel tight and sensitive to the touch. Although these symptoms may take a day or two to resolve completely, they usually diminish significantly within a few hours after treatment. To reduce inflammation, minimize redness, and further accelerate the healing process, Red Light Therapy is used after the micro-channeling procedure.
Recommended Treatment Schedule & Pricing
A series of 4-5 sessions are recommended for best results. Collagenesis from a micro-channeling procedure continues as far as three months out from the procedure. In general, we recommend a session once a month in order to give your skin time to heal before coming in for another session.
Price Schedule for a 5-Session ProCell Therapies Micro-Channeling Treatment:
1st Session ~ $300 (includes 7-day supply post-procedure kit) 2nd Session ~ $200 3rd Session ~ $200 4th Session ~ $200 5th Session ~ $150
Pre-procedure numbing option for those with sensitive skin: a 5% Topical Anesthetic Lidocaine Cream is available for an additional $25 per session.
Add a Bio-Active Peel or a Diamond Microdermabrasion in-between Micro-Channeling sessions for just $45 per treatment.
*Must wait at least 2 weeks before and after a micro-channeling session.
Post-Care
After treatment, nothing topical should be applied for a minimum of 90 minutes. Micro-channels will remain open for up to 90 minutes immediately following treatment; Anything you put on your skin will be absorbed into your skin. Skin thickness, sensitivity, and age of the patient will affect healing time. Immediately following the procedure, clients tend to feel a sensation similar to a mild sunburn. Depending on skin sensitivity, the skin may appear unchanged, or may feel tight, or may exhibit a red glow that will likely be gone by the following morning. Potential pinprick dots may be visible but will return to normal in a few days.
Included with your first session, you will receive a 7-day supply Post-Procedure Kit. For best results, use your ProCell Serums daily.
