LED Light Therapy with

What is a LED Facial?
A LED Facial is also known as Photo-Rejuvenation or Light Therapy. It is a painless skin-care treatment that uses light emitting diodes (LEDs) to restore skin’s normal, healthy activity. The energy delivered by the LEDs enhances cellular metabolism and accelerates healing. This in turn stimulates the body to build new collagen, increases circulation, and improves lymphatic function. The result is healthier, younger-looking skin. There is continued and gradual improvement with each subsequent treatment. With a series of 3-6 treatments, your skin will appear smoother, tighter, and more radiant.

How does it work?
The Red Light stimulates the fibroblasts that produce collagen, which gives young skin its plump look. It can also minimize fine lines and wrinkles, repairs sun-damage, and fades age spots.
The Blue Light is used to treat mild to moderate acne by killing the bacteria responsible for breakouts. It also reduces sebum production and minimizes pores.
The Yellow Light stimulates lymphocyte production which activates toxin elimination and reduces inflammation.
The Green Light helps to regulate melanin production, reducing redness and lighten pigmentation.

Is LED for everyone?
While almost everyone can benefit from the use of light therapy, these treatments will have the greatest impact on skin with sluggish metabolism and slow cellular activity showing visible signs of aging. Contraindicationsfor Light Therapy include pregnancy and epilepsy, photo-allergy, and medications that cause light sensitivity (such as Tetracycline). Also, if you are currently taking steroids or cortisone injections, you should not receive Light Therapy.

How soon can I expect to see results?
The skin looks different after the first treatment: smoother and more hydrated with a natural radiant glow. However, since the device is essentially stimulating the body’s natural healing mechanisms, the most visible results are not immediate. Instead, results occur cumulatively, over several weeks. With each treatment you will gradually see improvement. LED facials are a perfect companion to be used in combination with micro-channeling or microdermabrasion procedures. And an effective home care regimen will be recommended that will further enhance your results. Results are not as dramatic as plastic surgery or laser treatments, but it’s a gentler, more natural, less expensive option. The best results come after a series of LED sessions.

What is the recommended schedule for the LED Facial series?
The number of LED Facials you need will vary depending on the condition you're treating, the results you want, and how your skin responds. Depending on age and the condition of the skin, a series of 6-15 treatments done weekly or bi-weekly, followed by regular monthly maintenance. It is recommended that you begin with a series of 6 weekly treatments. After that, maintain with a treatment every month.

Is this technology approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for safety and efficacy?
Yes. LED facials are painless, relaxing, and do not require down-time. They have no adverse reactions and carry no risk of burning. This skin rejuvenating technology uses safe wavelengths between 423nm – 640nm to treat skin conditions. LED light does not produce the side effects or tissue damage associated with UV or infrared light. LED Light Therapy has been FDA approved for applications such as skin rejuvenation, acne, and wound healing. LED-emitting devices are classified by the FDA as possessing “non-significant risk” due to the fact that they are completely safe and possess no possibility of harm from over-exposure.
